After the publication of the original article (Newell and Goggins 2018), we were notified that there were two typographical errors in relation to ‘convex’ and ‘concave’ in the Section 3.2, ‘Thermal gradients’. In both cases, the phrase ‘convex to concave’ should be replaced with ‘concave to convex’.
